          1. INFORMAL:

a person or thing considered to be a genuine or 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 good example of their kind.

Without further ado I am thrilled to introduce- "DEALER."

I hate shopping for bucks. I’m picky, maybe too picky, and I have the bar set probably a little too high, but when I come from working with the caliber bucks I'm used to, how can I not? I am BEYOND ecstatic to say I found one that not only hit the bar, but soared clear over it!

When I first saw photos of GCH Wood Bridge Farm Arabella 1*M EX91 my jaw hit the floor. She epitomizes everything I think a dairy animal should be. The general appearance, dairy strength, body capacity, stunning mammary system- shoot she has it all! I didn’t know her name, her pedigree, or ANYTHING about her when I first saw her but I KNEW that if I was getting back into goats this was the doe I wanted a herdsire out of.

Imagine my surprise, and DELIGHT when I found out who this doe is and what animals comprise her pedigree. Her sire is 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗫 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗗 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗬 +*𝗕 who is the direct littermate brother to EXOTIC BIRD whom I managed for the entirety of my time at WS (Recently crowned the 2024 ADGA National Premier Sire!). To make it better? Her dam is the littermate sister to 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 +*𝗕 who is the sire to not only the 2022 ADGA RESERVE NATIONAL CHAMPION SR DOE, but also 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗘 +*𝗕, the other majorly proven herdsire I managed, campaigned, and marketed while at WS! She was also the highest appraised doe at Hilltown Meadows in 2022 with a 47 in body depth and 41 in fore udder…Eeeek!!

His sire is nothing to scoff at either. 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗨𝗡𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗧 *𝗕 is the littermate brother to the sire of the 2022 ADGA NATIONAL CHAMPION SR DOE! He himself is a paternal brother to 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 +*𝗕 as well as 𝗚𝗖𝗛 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗘𝗘 𝟮*𝗠 2016 ADGA Spotlight Sale Record Holder - sold for $16,100!

“Dealer” could not be any MORE of what I was looking for. He himself is LONG, LEVEL, SUBSTANTIAL, and ANGULAR throughout which is all I expect them to be at this age. He is the future of Drewem Nigerians and wow, what a future I believe that will be.

Dealer's first kid crop has left my jaw on the floor. They are OUTSTANDING!!! The consistency is remarkable, they are so easy to pick out of a crowd and are consistently my favorites. They're already doing very well in the ring, and I seriously can't wait to start freshening them! Dealer earned his first two legs towards his permanent championship as a yearling buck, even beating out a 4yo challenger and snagging a BEST BUCK IN SHOW win in the process! I love this stinky boy!

If you ever take a moment to talk to me about my herd, you will very quickly notice one name in particular mentioned more times than the rest. And that name is Fleur, who just so happens to be Jagger's littermate sister. Is she the most accomplished doe in my herd? No, not yet. She's actually had an unfortunate run with bad luck her last two freshenings, keeping her out of the ring for two years in a row now. Is she the flashiest, friendliest, heaviest milker, highest apprasied or most sought after doe in my herd? No. But a doe doesn't need to be ANY of those things to be a truly remarkable animal. And that she is. There are VERY few animals that I genuinely would be elated to have an entire herd cloned after, but Fleur is at the top of the list for me. She is still young, with plenty of time to prove herself to the outside world, but she is my total package animal, and it's something that just can't be portrayed in photos. You have to see her in person, you have to put your hands on her, watch her move, milk her, watch her stand, look at her daughters, and only then can you really understand what I am trying to put into words. Just remarkable.

So in case it wasn't evident, I like the doe...a lot. And I like her daughters...a lot. And I like her brother...a lot! So when the opportunity presented itself for him to join my herd there was not a moments hesitation. I am giddy with excited to put this guy to some heavy use to spread the "Fleur-influence" across my herd. Jagger already has a couple milking daughters out there with beautiful mammary systems, as well as a son that I had bred and originally retained last year, but later sold and have regretted it since (Drewem MJ Second to None *B - "Uno"). Uno's kids born here are absolutely incredible and the type is undeniable. I know that Jagger will mesh beautifully with what I have here and am SO excited that he will be at the forefront of our next breeding season!

I’ve been waiting for this boy for a long time! I remember talking to his breeder a while back about his dam and wanting to be on her buck reservation list, but that I was pretty picky on the sire and was happy to wait however long necessary! But when the mention of this cross came up in conversation, I said “YES, that’s the one!!” So without further ado, I am so incredibly thrilled to introduce “Barney” - 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐑 *𝐁

I’m struggling to find the words to start the introduction for this stellar young buck. So I suppose I will start with what I know best, his sire’s side. Where to begin? Anyone who knows anything about me knows that to this day, my #1 heart goat of all time is 𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐄𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟓*𝐌 𝐄𝐄𝐄𝐄𝟗𝟏. She is so special to me and has been since she was a young junior doe. I spent many years, the majority of her life, proving, campaigning, marketing, and loving her and her OUTSTANDING offspring, 7 of which are 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. I saw her potential when others didn’t. The entire Mazy “line” was my pride and joy during the years I managed the WS herd. And of course of them all, the daughter I am the most proud to have bred, raised, and cared for to her 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 EX92 score was 𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐂𝐌 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝟔*𝐌 𝐄𝐄𝐄𝐄𝟗𝟐. What an incredible doe that is, in my opinion, my greatest achievement thus far in the goat world. Barney’s sire, Astonishing, is the repeat breeding to Marvelous. I’m hoping that puts into perspective how incredibly important this half of his pedigree is to me. Not to mention, Aston’s sire is the one and only 𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞 +*𝐁, who needs no introduction. He has sired numerous finished champions, four EEEE92 does and several other EX90+ and is the grandsire of the 2024 ADGA National Reserve Grand Champion.

And now for his dam’s side, which certainly is nothing to scoff at. River Blossom is a doe that I have admired for several years. She excels in body and mammary, which is evident by her appraisal score where she scored all E’s and V’s in every structural category. I mean just look at this doe and tell me what’s NOT to like about her? She has also excelled in the National Show Ring, where in 2019 she was the 3rd place senior yearling, and in 2023 she was the 6th place 5yo. Her dam, 𝐒𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐏 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝟕*𝐌 𝐄𝐄𝐄𝐄𝟗𝟏 is another breed favorite of mine. Just another doe who is not only outstanding in her own right, but also in her INCREDIBLY consistent offspring (multiple EX daughters, including an EEEE92!), which is a very important factor for me when choosing a herdsire. I will not buy a buck from a “one hit wonder”. I search for those animals that have years of built and 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 consistency, year after year, generation after generation, and this dam line right here, is IT!

I wasn’t really searching to add another herdsire, since I wanted to work on proving out Dealer first, so what sparked me back then to reach out to Jennifer at Hidden Hills? Well that’s easy, it was a doe named Fleur. She is more formally known as 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐇 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐮𝐫-𝐝𝐞-𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝟑*𝐌. Also known as, one of my absolute favorite does (we are talking like top 1-2) in my herd. She is so different in the best way possible, and yet still so incredibly consistent in the quality, type, and style of dairy goat I am breeding for. Her dam was one I bred during my years at WS, and while she is a very very nice doe, because of my experience and intimate knowledge of those genetics, I knew that the things I 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 loved about Fleur came from her sire’s side. And who was her sire you may ask? None other than a son of, 𝐆𝐂𝐇 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐇𝐁 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦 𝟖*𝐌 𝐄𝐄𝐄𝐄𝟗𝟏. So when asking myself how can I make my entire herd more “Fleur-like”…the most logical answer seemed to be to go straight to the source.

Barney arrived home in early July 2024, and the only word I have for him is wow. His head? Wow. His front end? Wow. His legs? Wow. His topline? Wow. His depth of chest and barrel relative to his size and age? Wow. His width in chest and rump? WOW. I think you get the idea! I’m in love. He is everything I expected him to be, and MORE.

I can’t thank Jennifer at Hidden Hills enough for allowing Barney to come join the Drewem herd. We will do our best to turn his name into one that won’t be forgotten!

SS: GCH Winning Streak O Remarkable *B (Littermate to GCH WS Extraordinary 3xBIS and paternal brother to the 2024 ADGA Reserve National Champion Sr Doe!)

I reached out to Carissa a while back about the potential interest to bring in a buck from the Banana Baby x Axl Rose cross due in Feb 2024. I have always adored her line of "Banana" does as I call them, and then after seeing Axl's littermate sister as a yearling milker showing here in Fl this season, I was ECSTATIC about the cross! And then, Reggie (Winning Streak R Regal Rose *B - see reference) fell into my lap and I wasn't so sure that it made sense to go forth with trying to get a kid from that cross since Axl and Reggie are full brothers. However, the more I thought about it the more I realized that I actually would prefer to keep a buck from this cross longer term than Reggie, since I get the same genetics as Reggie with the added bonus of those incredibly consistent and STUNNING does on his dam's side. Just a couple days after that, Carissa posted that Banana Baby kidded with triplets, including a COU buck...which is my favorite and I'm not ashamed to admit it! It was a done deal. Then I started recieving updated pictures of Banana Baby's udder and I fell in love with her all over again. It is extremely close to my ideal mammary system; extreme in height, attachment, smoothness of fore, beautiful teat size, shape, and placement. Just stunning! In body she is deep, powerful, substantial and loooooong. She carries her depth all the way back to her flank. For a 2yo doe she is just SO impressive!

Now that he has arrived home and settled in, I LOVE this boy! He is so correct no matter what angle you look at him, and its hard to put into words, but I love his natural movement. All of his pieces work and move together with such ease and fluidity that is hard to ignore. He's showing me really lovely strong and straight front legs that are well placed under his withers, and rear legs with lovely natural angulation. I can't wait to put this guy to good use!

Sire: Gotta B Kid n Justify

Okay, I know this immediate pedigree might not jump out to most people. There's a lack of fancy LA scores, SGCH designations, and milk awards. BUT, what it is NOT lacking is insane DEPTH of quality of the animals listed! Linebred on Pineapple Express? Can you say UDDER BUCK extraordinaire? I have been a huge fan of Pineapple for YEARS but was never able to bring anything of his in until now. Manny is one of the most dairy bucks I have put my hands on. The spacing between his ribs rivals my Saanens, and he maintains that openness throughout, including up into his escutcheon. His thurls are wide and high, and his bone pattern is quite long. His dam joined my herd shortly before her did and needless to say became a FAST favorite. Manny actually came to me so I could help his breeder sell him, but about 48hrs after his arrival and doing some pedigree searching, I messaged Warren asking if I could buy him myself!

Manny was used a decent bit late 2023 and sired 6 of my spring 2024 keepers. What a consistent group of kids! I'm so thrilled with all of them and can't wait to start freshening them!! The first one shown earned her Junior leg her first time in the ring as a 4mo old kid!
